TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms and Conditions outline the general terms under which Leading Energy provides electrical and air conditioning services. By requesting a quotation, engaging our services or proceeding with any work undertaken by Leading Energy, clients acknowledge and agree to these terms.

These terms are intended to provide clarity around the scope of work, responsibilities and expectations associated with electrical and air conditioning services delivered by Leading Energy.

Quotations and Scope of Work

Quotations provided by Leading Energy are based on the information available at the time of inspection, discussion or documentation provided by the client.

Quotations typically reflect the expected scope of work, equipment requirements and site conditions as understood during the quoting process. Where site conditions differ from those originally identified, or where additional work becomes necessary to complete the installation safely and in compliance with relevant standards, variations may apply.

Any variations or additional work required outside the original scope will be discussed with the client before proceeding wherever reasonably possible.

Electrical Compliance and Standards

All electrical work carried out by Leading Energy is completed by appropriately licensed electricians and performed in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and applicable electrical regulations.

This includes compliance with current safety requirements relating to electrical installation, switchboards, power distribution and associated systems.

Where work forms part of a broader building project, Leading Energy will coordinate with builders, project managers and other trades to ensure electrical systems are installed in accordance with the project specifications and regulatory requirements.

Supply of Equipment and Materials

Where equipment or materials are supplied as part of the project, Leading Energy will source products considered appropriate for the intended application and operating environment.

Product warranties for supplied equipment, including air conditioning systems or other electrical components, are provided by the manufacturer and are subject to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions.

Leading Energy will install supplied equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards, but the performance and warranty of the equipment itself remains subject to the manufacturer’s warranty provisions.

Site Access and Working Conditions

Clients are responsible for ensuring reasonable and safe access to the work area for the duration of the project.

Where access is restricted, unsafe or unavailable at the scheduled time of work, delays may occur. If additional labour, equipment or time is required due to unforeseen site conditions, restricted access or changes to the working environment, this may result in additional charges.

Leading Energy reserves the right to suspend or postpone work where site conditions present a safety risk to workers or other persons.

Variations and Additional Work

During the course of electrical installations or upgrades it is sometimes necessary to undertake additional work that was not reasonably identifiable during the quoting process.

Where additional work is required, Leading Energy will advise the client and provide a description of the additional scope and associated cost before proceeding wherever reasonably possible.

Variations may arise due to changes in project requirements, unexpected site conditions, compliance requirements or additional work requested by the client.

Project Scheduling and Delays

Leading Energy will make reasonable efforts to complete work within the agreed timeframes. However, project timing may be affected by factors outside our control, including material availability, site readiness, weather conditions, coordination with other trades or unforeseen technical issues.

Where delays occur, Leading Energy will communicate with the client to provide updated scheduling information.

Payment Terms

Payment terms will be outlined in the quotation or invoice provided to the client.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, invoices are payable within the period specified on the invoice. For larger projects, staged payments or progress payments may apply in accordance with the agreed project structure.

Late payments may result in delays to ongoing work or project scheduling.

Warranty and Workmanship

Leading Energy warrants that electrical installation work will be completed with reasonable care, skill and professional standards consistent with industry practice.

Any concerns relating to workmanship should be raised with Leading Energy as soon as reasonably possible so the matter can be assessed and addressed.

Product warranties for supplied equipment are provided by the manufacturer and may vary depending on the equipment installed.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Leading Energy will not be liable for indirect, consequential or incidental loss arising from the use of electrical systems or equipment installed, except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection legislation.

Nothing in these terms is intended to limit or exclude rights that may apply under Australian Consumer Law.
